Newness of life

THE RICH AND LIVING GOSPEL OF GRACE VERSUS THE POOR AND DEAD HYPER-GRACE ‘GOSPEL’.

When a man in Christ sins, he is dealing with his old life, and not his new life.

All sins, whether past or future belong to his old life.

His past sins belong to his old life.

And his future sins belong to his old life.

When he sins, he is dealing with his past with the world and the devil, and not his future with Christ

(And since in Christ, old things have passed away and all things have become new)

When he sins, he is dealing with what has passed away and not what is set before him.

Your past sins are old things. AND YOUR FUTURE SINS ARE OLD THINGS.

The resurrection of Christ is a new thing AND THE DEATH OF CHRIST IS A NEW THING.

Therefore, the life of a Christian is not divided into a sinful past and a sinful future.

Rather, at the intersection of the Cross, it is divided into an old life and a new life.

Poor is that gospel teaching which makes you look forward to what is to have passed away.

Any gospel which gives assurance because future sins are forgiven, is a poor gospel.

It is a DEAD gospel, having no power to impart life to the hearer or save his soul.

Anyone who hears a gospel message and wants to know what happens if he sins in the future has heard a gospel that could not present him with the message of the Cross.

The gospel of grace (which is the message of the Cross) always unhinges your old life and causes you to walk forward in the newness of life.

The true gospel of grace interrupts the life of a man forever.

Because in it you see the life of Christ, a life which after God, is created in righteousness and true holiness.

A change takes place within your heart and he has become forever undone.

You cannot go back.

The gospel makes you know the difference between that new life of Christ and your old life: the difference between what is past and what has been set before you.

When you hear it, you rejoice, NEVER because your future sins have been forgiven, but because all old things have passed away.

Dear saint, it is not the will of God for you to have future sins. Every thing Christ has done and the apostles have preached and the true teachers have taught IS SO THAT YOU WILL NOT SIN

AND IF YOU SIN, YOU ARE NOT DEALING WITH YOUR NEW LIFE WHICH YOU SHOULD PUT ON, BUT YOUR OLD LIFE WHICH YOU SHOULD PUT OFF.

AND, IF YOU SIN, YOU HAVE THE SINLESS ADVOCATE BEFORE THE FATHER, FULL OF MERCY AND GRACE, ON THE THRONE OF GRACE.

Every time the old life asserts itself, by looking unto Jesus the sinless one, you rejoice in the Cross, by which the old life was rendered useless, by which the world and all its trappings are crucified unto you, and you unto it.

AND YOU CONFESS YOUR SINS BEFORE GOD.

As you repose in the precious blood; by which you are cleansed from all unrighteousness.

So that just as Christ was raised from the dead, you also walk in newness of life.

Amen.
