The truth about eternal life

There is a difference between the wind, and the effect of wind. We cannot see wind, but when it blows, we see trees shaking, leaves moving, and dust flying around.

The same way, eternal life is not visible, but its effect is very visible.

That’s why we have the fruit of the recreated human spirit

A new man is Christ is characterised by very visible fruit. And when it is absent, something is fundamentally wrong.

So the saying that “It doesn’t matter what I do. I’m a man in Christ” is not right.

Peter warned that there are things in the epistles of Paul that can be twisted. And in our time men are still twisting these things in his letters as a license to do what they want.

When you read some of what Paul said, you have to also read other things Paul said. You also have to read what other apostles said

Did Paul not warn about certain things? Did he not warn several times against a sinful lifestyle?

The difference between the old testament and the new testament is that in the old testament men were told to do things in order to be righteous

But in the new testament, we have been made righteous so that we can live righteous lives.

2 Peter 3:14
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

2 Peter 3:15
And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

2 Peter 3:16
As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

2 Peter 3:17
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

2 Peter 3:18
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

The truth about eternal life is that a new spirit has been put within us to live for him stedfastly, growing in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus, until the perfect day.
