Good morning, Church.
I’ve come to give God praise, this testimony is proof that God sees and knows me.
For a while, I’d been thinking about quitting my job. The workload was taking a toll, and I just wanted to take a break and figure out my next steps. But God had other plans.
At the May Mercy Encounters, Pastor Sola declared that there would be markings of favor through the covenant of the blood and mercy. I held onto that word, even though I wasn’t expecting anything specific at the time, I just kept it in my heart and prayed it consistently.
A few days before the July Thanksgiving, someone reached out to me. He had seen some of my posts online about my job and what I do, and said his company (which runs a virtual version of my current work) would like to have me on board. Though I didn’t plan to take another job as my plan was to rest, I agreed to have the conversation anyway.
At the mid-year Thanksgiving, Pastor instructed us to write seven things we’re grateful for, six things God had done and one we were trusting Him for. I made the seventh item about this job offer. On my way home from the service, I received a message about an interview scheduled for that same evening. The interview went well, and the offer was confirmed.
The only issue was I didn’t have a laptop, and they wanted me to resume immediately. I told them I’d get back to them.
Here’s how God lined things up for me with Favour ;
1. I mentioned the offer in passing to a friend, adding that I wasn’t sure I could take it because of the laptop situation. He said, “You’ve always turned down virtual roles because of this. You didn’t even apply for this one, it found you. Tell them you’ll take it. I’m not using my laptop right now; I’ll lend it to you until you get one for yourself.” I was stunned because I hadn’t even asked.
2. I requested a two-week delay before resuming so I could wrap things up at my current job. The admins initially said the wait was too long and they went quiet for 48 hours. Still, I kept thanking God for His favor while I waited. After 72 hours, the owner of the company who initially reached out to me sent me a message: “You can take the two weeks to sort yourself out. Your slot is reserved: we’re waiting for you.”
I was overwhelmed. The pay is significantly better, the role is flexible, and now I can rest and still earn. My plan was just to pause, but God gave me rest with provision.
This is the beginning of landmark testimonies for me in the Household of David. Since joining last July, my life has been nothing short of God’s favor and mercy.
Truly, the word of the Lord is in this house and I am grateful, for the Lord is good, and His mercy endures forever!
Praise God.
