Hello Church,
Jehovah Overdo has done it!
We were laid off from my previous place of employment July 2022. Prior to then I felt the nudge to start job hunting but nothing was forthcoming. Day in, day out I applied like my life depended on it, church I applied!! Days turned to months, frustration here and there. There was a week that all I received back to back were rejection mails.
I am sincerely grateful to God for amazing siblings and friends who stood in the gap financially and didn’t let me slip into depression. I was invited to HOD for the first time in April 2023 for the singles program. I had just been served “steaming hot breakfast” and wasn’t really interested but Pastor’s preaching hit a spot that day. My siblings started attending HOD but I didn’t attend any service until June 4th 2023 when Pastor preached about Worship.
The next day, I locked myself in a room and worshipped like never before, I cried nonstop.
In less than 2 hours, I got an email for an interview. As I stepped out of the interview, a call came in for another interview. People of God, I had back to back interviews the entire week.
It became a classic case of “God which one?”.
Exactly one year after I started being at home, I resumed at one of the biggest Fintech companies in Africa with amazing working conditions, work-life balance and of course a good pay that increases every 6 months just as I asked God. I’ve been privileged to meet with the CEO of the company in less than 3 months of working there.
Church God did it, I pray for everyone actively job hunting that they’ll receive their desired jobs in Jesus name.
