Over a decade ago, my mum was due for a promotion to professorship, but it was never given. We tried everything possible, met the people we were asked to meet… yet the response remained the same: “Missing papers.” Mum kept resubmitting her papers during each promotion cycle, but at the end, the one in charge would always give her the same feedback: her papers were not found. Apparently, some middleman had been taking out her papers whenever she submitted them.
With all of this going on, all of a sudden mum couldn’t walk any more, doctors said nothing was wrong after carrying out x-rays. She couldn’t go to school for lectures anymore and rumors started spreading in school that she will never be back due to her condition.
We, the children formed a group late last year and began praying together every day for 15 minutes for our family. The first miracle happened in January, mum BEGAN TO WALK AGAIN after three months of being totally unable to. Secondly, the Holy Spirit led my sister to call the former VC of the university again to help (she had been informed about this before, but nothing could be done). This time, things began to shift. Out of the blue, the current VC called my mum and asked for her papers, bypassing that middleman completely. Then, everything went silent.
During one of the services, Pastor Sola asked us to write down three things we needed God to do for us. After writing, he said we should not think about it anymore. That same week, my mum’s name was announced as a PROFESSOR!
Sickness that had no origin nor medical cause gone!
10 years of delay ended!
Indeed its our year of Divine appointment and the Lord has arisen and is having Mercy on our household.

CLOTHED IN MERCY, FAVOUR & THE MIRACULOUS!
Greetings dear HOD family.
As a newbie in the world of being a single Mum of 3, having been recently kicked out of an abusive marriage, there was always a lot contending for finances. As at the 6th of September, 2025, I was still battling to save up money for my rent which was due on the 30th of September. Out of N2.5m needed, I had just a little over N200,000 because I kept having to get stuff for school or the home, etc.
When Bishop Wale Oke (during his session at the Higher Ground Conference – The Passover) called for people who would give just N100,000 each towards the Mercy Seat, I came out and transferred the money within the next few minutes. My 15-year-old daughter watched me in shock, exclaiming quietly, “Sweet Mother!” I laughed and told her to watch and see what God would do. We cannot build for God and not have a roof over our heads.
To the glory of God, within the next 2 weeks, I received the sum of N1.95m towards my rent from 3 relatives that I did not ask. That was amazing but God was not done.
On the night of the 29th of September, I told God that although my rent was due the next day and I did not have all of it, I was going to start typing my testimony on HOD’s testimony page, trusting that He would finish the work before it was time to hit the send button. I started typing but slept off before completing it.
After prayers the next morning, I called my Landlady to remind her to send me her new account details since my rent was due and ask if I could pay the balance within the next 30 days or so but before I could even ask for that she said she hadn’t even been keeping track and didn’t realize that my rent was due. Then she said that I should take N500,000 off my rent and that I could even pay the 2 million naira in installments till December as she had no immediate need for the money. I was STUNNED! Precious amazing Holy Spirit! Who does that?! In 2025? In Lagos? Only Jesus does!
In the midst of all this, out of nowhere, our awesome God also got someone to pay my children’s school fees (N2,000,000) so that I could focus on other things. Just like that!
The Household of David is indeed an altar of Mercy and the God of this altar knows my name.
He has helped me complete my testimony and I have come to give all glory, honour, power and praise to my Lord and King. My provider, deliverer, hiding place, comforter, keeper, lifter, helper, shelter and the one who does far above all we could ever ask or imagine. THANK YOU JESUS!
I am so grateful to God for Pastor Sola and Pastor Abigail and the leadership of HOD, for showing us the dimensions of God as a loving and ever merciful Father who wants the absolute best for His children… spirit, soul & body.
