Dear Church,

I want to thank God for His overwhelming mercy in my life and for how He has continually used the Mercy Encounters program as a divine meeting point for me. My first Mercy Encounter this year was in February, as I had been away in January. I came with three major requests:

A good salary for the new job I was about to begin.

Exam success for a course I hadn’t even studied for. Normally, I need at least three months to prepare, but due to back-to-back travels, I had only two weeks.

Healing in my heart, as I was going through a traumatic season.

I felt led to sow a particular seed during that time.

By the Mercy Encounter in March, God had answered every single one of those requests. I passed the exam, received a good salary offer, and experienced deep emotional healing—I felt lighter and happier.

In March, I wrote a fresh set of expectations, one of which was a salary increase. That very week, I got a credit alert, and HR explained it was an additional amount added to my salary. God did it again.

Another area I trusted God for was funding a program my team and I were organizing. It was costing close to a million naira. Most of us weren’t employed yet, and those who had just gotten jobs hadn’t even received their first salary. We were in need.

One Sunday, Pastor Sola shared about how he not only sows seeds personally but also sows as a church. That revelation hit me—we had only been sowing as individuals. So, my team created a corporate current account, pooled our personal money (which didn’t even amount to 20K), and sowed it as a seed on behalf of the group.

Immediately after that, we received our first sponsorship of 200K. And from there, sponsorships kept coming in—one after another—until every single need for the program was fully met.
